Dr. Catherine Cappadocia is a registered clinical and school psychologist who is passionate about helping her clients to reach their full potential with respect to learning, building healthy relationships, and enjoying good mental health. Dr. Catherine Cappadocia takes an evidence-based approach to all services, using current clinical and research evidence to maximize effectiveness. She also takes a client-centered approach and places high value on building strong relationships with her clients, as well as providing a warm and supportive environment. Dr. Catherine Cappadocia integrates components of various approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). 

Dr. Catherine Cappadocia provides assessment, consultation, and therapy services for children and adolescents who present with a variety of clinical needs including anxiety, sadness/depression, OCD, anger difficulties, emotion dysregulation, ADHD, and social skills difficulties. Dr. Catherine Cappadocia has extensive experience providing assessment, consultation, and therapy services among children with ASD. She also offers parent coaching and consultation services to support parents in developing parenting strategies that are tailored to the needs of their child and family system.

Dr. Catherine Cappadocia completed her Ph.D. in the Clinical Developmental Psychology program at York University. She worked at the York Region District School Board for several years as a Psychologist and then as an interim Coordinator of Psychological Services. Dr. Catherine Cappadocia also worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Kinark Child and Youth Services, completing an interim role as a Clinical Lead in their Child and Youth Mental Health program as well. Dr. Cappadocia’s previous training and employment also includes positions in day treatment and outpatient clinics at GTA hospitals including the Centre for Addition and Mental Health (CAMH) and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. She has published many research papers that focus on peer relationships and bullying behaviours among children and youth, and has taught at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.
