Learn More About Me

As the Lead Psychologist at Wonderwise Psychology, I work with children, teens, and their families to navigate a variety of life’s challenges. The most fulfilling part of my job is helping people recognize their strength and potential and being part of that growth. My primary goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together toward meaningful change. I am also grateful to meet and work with dedicated parents and caregivers.

What I appreciate most about Wonderwise is the consistently warm and welcoming environment. Families often comment on how comfortable the space feels as soon as they enter, regardless of age. I also value the highly collaborative nature of our team. Working alongside colleagues who are supportive, engaged, and genuinely care about one another makes the work both meaningful and fulfilling.

As a child, I always wanted to be a camp director, and my first job was as a camp counsellor. Those early experiences played an important role in shaping my path toward becoming a child psychologist. I was passionate about helping children adjust to camp and ensuring they could have a positive, meaningful summer experience, even when facing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. That same passion continues to guide my work with children and families today.

My clinical approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and individualized. I meet each child and family where they are, tailoring care to their unique strengths, needs, and goals. I strive to create a space where children feel safe, understood, and at ease, and where parents feel genuinely heard and supported. Building strong rapport is central to my work, and I believe warmth, flexibility, and a sense of humour play an important role in helping children feel comfortable as we work toward meaningful and lasting change together.

Areas of Focus

I provide assessment and treatment for children and youth presenting with:

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Selective mutism

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • Emotion regulation difficulties

  • Depression and related mental health concerns

  • ADHD and learning disabilities when these complicate emotional or behavioural challenges

I also specialize in comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for school-related concerns, including learning, attention, intellectual, and developmental differences, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Parent coaching and consultation are an important part of my work, supporting caregivers in promoting their child’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Education & Professional Background

  • Doctoral Degree, School and Clinical Child Psychology, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto

  • Pre-doctoral Residency, The Integra Program (Child Development Institute) and Toronto District School Board (TDSB)

I have worked across hospital, school board, community mental health, and private practice settings, including Surrey Place Centre, Markham Stouffville Hospital, Morneau Shepell Children’s Support Solutions, The Red Oak Centre, and York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB).

I have been part of the Wonderwise team since its opening in 2019, where I continue to provide assessment and treatment services to children, youth, and their families. My experience in school board settings allows me to support families in navigating the educational system and making informed decisions regarding school programming and placement.
